CelebrationsĬhurch Street Stroll – Celebrating Christmas in our diverse community with global flavor will be happening at VPC as part of the Town of Vienna’s Church Street Stroll, November 28, 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Then join us on December 18, 10:10-11:10 am in the Fellowship Hall to pack the Bags of Love boxes. Click here to view the items needed and sign up to donate them. Throughout December, VPC will collect hygiene, and cleaning supplies needed for the packing project. Everyone is invited to help assemble cleaning and hygiene supplies for Bags of Love 2.0 on Sunday, November 20, 10:10 am in the Fellowship Hall.īags of Love Service Project, Sunday 12/18 at 10:10 AM – Helping hands of all ages and abilities have a place to serve in this assembly line packing project so bring your family and friends! Through VPC’s partnership with local schools, these Bags of Love will make a difference for many families in need this Christmas. Families will receive the Giving Book, an interactive guide to giving and thankfulness. God has been generous with us, so let us give generously to others. Giving Thanks – As we approach Thanksgiving, come explore how to “use whatever gift he has received to serve others” (1 Peter 4:10). So Glenda can remember and treasure the memories of her time here, we are collecting remembrances FROM YOU for a Celebration of Glenda’s Ministry book to be presented at the celebration. Mix, mingle, and chat with Glenda and her family and say farewell to them in person! Come enjoy music, singing, and light refreshments. Join us for a reception to celebrate Glenda’s nearly 16 year ministry at VPC on Sunday, December 4 from 12:15 to 2:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Where did you encounter God through Glenda? Maybe you participated in one of our Women’s retreats or spiritual formation retreats with her-or traveled to a foreign country with her on a CenterPoint trip! As you know, Glenda Simpkins Hoffman’s time at our church will be coming to a close at the end of December.
